Greetings Slater Family and Community:

It is my pleasure to serve the Slater Community for the 2024-2025 school year. This is my 3rd year at Slater Elementary and I am so very happy to be part of this community. Prior to this role I served students in Adams 12 for 16 years as an assistant principal, teacher and content coordinator. Below is my promise to you, and the values I bring to our community.

Inclusion- Everyone deserves a place within the Slater community. This is true of all groups including children, parents, care givers, guardians, community members and staff. Any community member should be able to walk into our school and feel welcome, represented, and able to ask questions. Inclusion is not fitting in, it is providing an environment where everyone fits.

Integrity- Education is important work that is also difficult. In all situations I act with integrity, this forces me to do right by all children which can at times necessitate difficult conversations. Please know my door is always open to host these conversations.

Vision- In order for Slater students to achieve their greatest potential the entire community must work from a shared vision. Our theme this year is Growing Stronger Together, using this as our driver to provide both strong classroom experiences and an overall exceptional education for your student. Please be thinking about what this looks like for your student.

Collaboration- Slater is our school. In order for us to continue to provide an exceptional experience for our students, it will take all of us working together towards our common goals. I am proud and honored to serve alongside you in service to our children. Please feel free to reach out to me with any specific questions you have. I am so looking forward to Growing

Stronger Together within this community

Warmly,
Brooke Tolmachoff
