Meet the Principal

Greetings, Slater Families and Community,

I am honored to serve as the principal of Slater Elementary for the 2025-2026 school year. As I begin my fourth year here, I continue to be deeply grateful to be part of such a vibrant and supportive community.

This year, our theme is “The House That Slater Built.” Just as a house is built on a strong foundation, we are committed to strengthening the bonds of our community while striving for excellence in all that we do. Our two main improvement strategies this year are:

1. Building a Community of Belonging – We want every student, parent, and staff member to feel valued, heard, and respected.
    
2. Striving for Academic Excellence – We will continue to challenge ourselves and our students to reach new heights in learning.
    

Last year, we were honored to receive the Governor’s Award for High Growth, and this year, we are determined to build upon that success. Our goal is to continue creating extraordinary experiences for our students—both inside and outside the classroom. Our dedicated teachers and staff are working tirelessly to provide every child with an environment where they can thrive and grow.

As we move forward, I anchor my decisions in two core values: Integrity and Inclusion. These values guide everything I do and shape the way we engage with each other as a school community. Please know that my door is always open, and I encourage you to reach out if you have questions, concerns, or ideas. I am committed to partnering with you in your child’s educational journey, and I look forward to working together to make this year amazing.
