Mental Health Supports
Mental Health Supports at Slater Elementary
Mental Health Providers work alongside teachers, families, organizations, and communities to support positive mental health, coping skills, and resiliency to better and empower the individual students and school culture socially and academically.
Additionally, Mental Health Providers work with students with more specifically defined academic and/or social/emotional/behavioral needs as identified in their Individualized Education Plan (IEP) as determined by the school’s Special Education team. These needs are typically addressed in smaller group and/or individual settings.
Mental Health Providers focus on building strong relationships with students, as we believe relationships are the foundation for learning and help students feel safe and supported at school.
